Rock in Rio 2026 kicks off next Friday (4), the largest music and entertainment festival in Brazil. The event will be held at Cidade do Rock (City of Rock), located at Olympic Park, in Barra da Tijuca, Southwest Zone of Rio de Janeiro. O GLOBO newspaper has prepared a complete guide with all the information needed for spectators to enjoy the festival.
The Palco Mundo (World Stage) is the festival's main stage, responsible for hosting the shows that close each night of programming. For this edition, the stage features a brand new complete stage design, with its entire front structure covered by 2,400 square meters of ultra high-definition LED panels, transforming the space into a single, enormous visual display.
The Palco Sunset (Sunset Stage) offers fans the advantage of watching shows from there and from Palco Mundo with less travel between the festival areas. The Palco New Dance Order (New Dance Order Stage), the space dedicated to electronic music, will also feature a completely new stage design, measuring 56.50 meters wide and 22.5 meters high, with 502 square meters of LED panels as one of the main highlights.
