Presidential candidate Augusto Cury (Avante) gave an interview to TV Globo on Saturday, in which he presented proposals for a potential government. Among his main positions is the taxation of bets at at least 50%, arguing that these betting platforms currently pay only 12% in taxes, while food pays 18% and electricity between 30% and 33%.

Cury stated that the public debt is at "stratospheric levels" and defended that the government needs to be responsible. He also defended the need to combat corruption and spoke about the creation of a portfolio for public security.

The candidate also mentioned reducing the number of ministries and the adjustment to the Bolsa Família program. When questioned about economic projects for a potential government, Cury reinforced that it is necessary to increase taxation on bets to strengthen the economy, estimating a potential revenue increase of 40% compared to the current 12%.
