Farioli: "Zaidu's injury appears to be serious, but we need to evaluate"

Maisfutebol29 August 2026 at 20:36

FC Porto coach Francesco Farioli spoke about Zaidu Sanusi's injury, considering it appears to be serious, but highlighted that further assessments are still needed. The Nigerian defender left the pitch injured during the match and concerns the Porto club.

Farioli also addressed Jakub Bednarek's departure from FC Porto. The Polish central defender left the dragão club, ending his spell at the Portuguese team.

The coach did not reveal more details about the extent of Zaidu's injury, limiting himself to stating that the medical department is still evaluating the player's situation.

This is not the first time Zaidu has been injured this season, which has worried FC Porto's technical structure regarding the defender's physical condition.
