The Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogacar suffered a violent fall during stage 8 of the Vuelta a España, which required a surgical intervention. The doctor from UAE Team Emirates revealed the details of the injuries suffered by the rider after the accident.

According to the medical statement, Pogacar suffered multiple fractures resulting from the fall. The doctor from the Emirati team specified the nature of the injuries and explained the need to subject the cyclist to surgery to correct the damage caused by the impact.

Pogacar's fall represents a significant blow to the Slovenian rider's aspirations in the Vuelta, as he was considered one of the favorites for the overall classification of the race.
