The Slovenian rider Tadej Pogačar suffered a crash during the Vuelta that resulted in multiple injuries diagnosed through medical exams. The UAE Team Emirates athlete was evaluated after the accident and the results revealed the severity of his injuries.
The exams identified a concussion as one of the main injuries. Additionally, a displaced fracture of the left collarbone was diagnosed, which requires surgical intervention for correction.
Pogačar also has a stable fracture of the C7 cervical vertebra, which concerns the technical team regarding his neck recovery. The diagnosis also includes multiple abrasions resulting from the crash.
