Luiz Henrique in Rome? Flamengo and Botafogo Find Themselves With Hands Tied Over Price Demanded by Zenit

Italian Roma entered the competition for striker Luiz Henrique, currently at Zenit, and now Flamengo and Botafogo, who still maintained hopes of having the player, find themselves in difficulties to finalize the deal. The Rubro-negro made a proposal for the player, but hit the irreducible demand of Zenit, which requires 35 million euros with payment in installments over three years, an amount the club cannot match at the moment.

Botafogo would have a strategic advantage, as they could offer midfielder Danilo as part of the negotiation, since the player is worth approximately the same value. However, Danilo refused more than once the possibility of playing in Russia, which makes this alternative unfeasible for the Alvinegro.

Roma emerged precisely with the financial viability to face the asking price, but may encounter other obstacles. Being an American-owned club, there are restrictions for European clubs to negotiate with Russian football, which may complicate the transfer.

Luiz Henrique is analyzing all proposals received and will meet with his agents to give an answer to Roma. The talks with Flamengo and Botafogo still existed, but lost considerable strength given the Italian interest and the financial difficulties faced by the Brazilian clubs.
