Pogacar falls, forced to abandon while leading

Tadej Pogacar suffered a fall during the race while leading the general classification. The 27-year-old Slovenian rider went down within the peloton just over 32 kilometres from the finish, on a flat straight. Holding the red jersey since the first day of competition, Pogacar was the leader of the general classification at the time of the incident.
