On Friday night, businessman Miguel Machado was robbed in the Piedade neighborhood, in Rio de Janeiro's North Zone. The incident occurred on Rua Cardoso Quintão, around 9:20 PM, while he was returning home after picking up his 3-year-old daughter from a caretaker in Tomás Coelho.

Miguel's daughter was sleeping in the back seat of the vehicle at the time of the crime. The criminals' approach was so swift that the businessman only realized what had happened after being forcibly removed from the car by the robbers, who fled with the vehicle and the child still inside.

The Military Police were notified and managed to locate and rescue the child after approximately one hour of searches. Miguel, shaken, rushed home to reunite with his family while authorities worked to find the vehicle and the girl.
