A 3-year-old girl was found by the Military Police inside a stolen car on Friday night (28), in Vicente de Carvalho, in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The vehicle was taken by criminals during a robbery, and the child ended up being taken along with the automobile. PM teams were dispatched after the robbery and located the car abandoned about two kilometers from the crime scene.
The child's father reported that he was surprised by the criminals near Morro do Urubu, also in the North Zone of the capital, and that he had no time to react before they took the car with his daughter. He thanked the police teams for having recovered what he called the most precious thing, noting that material goods can be replaced.
The girl was located inside the stolen vehicle, along with a cell phone. It was through the phone that police were able to contact the child's guardians and return the girl safely. The Civil Police reported that they are working to identify the criminals responsible for the robbery.
