A man was injured in the early afternoon of Saturday, following an assault that occurred on Caminho do Poço Barral, in Funchal. The incident took place around 12:35 p.m., when the victim was on the public street.
During the assault, the man was hit on the head with a chair, suffering abrasions on the scalp. The Funchal Professional Firefighters were mobilized to the scene with a pre-hospital emergency team, which provided first aid to the victim.
After being stabilized, the man was transported to a hospital unit to receive additional medical care.
