A Russian drone hit the city of Bucha, in Ukraine, causing the death of at least 27 people and leaving 42 injured. The attack damaged approximately 50 homes in the region.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky strongly criticized the presence of weapons positioned near homes, suggesting that this practice puts civilians at risk during armed conflicts.
The city of Bucha gained symbolic importance since the first months of the Russian invasion in 2022, when reports of atrocities against civilians came to light internationally, becoming a symbol of the horrors of the conflict.
The attack represents one of the deadliest deaths caused by a single drone since the beginning of the war, highlighting the vulnerability of Ukrainian residential areas in the face of Russian military technological advances.
