Nepal requests international aid to rescue nearly 3,000 missing after tragedy

Nepal requested specialized assistance from neighboring countries to reinforce search and rescue operations after the landslide that hit a Himalayan border region, leaving 633 dead and nearly 3,000 missing. Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal stated that the government requested specific assistance from friendly nations given the difficulties encountered by teams on the ground. Among the reinforcements are 11 professionals from India specialized in rescuing people trapped in tunnels, and more teams with this type of expertise are expected to arrive in Nepal from China. The state of degradation of the bodies, dragged by a flood of "density greater than concrete," makes identifying the victims difficult.

Change the form for green card application and the old version will be rejected
