A poll conducted on the website and on the WhatsApp of the Rio desk asked readers to identify the main problem in the Méier neighborhood, in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The vote had ten alternatives, drawn up based on complaints from residents and visitors of the neighborhood. The result was obtained by adding up the votes from both communication channels.
The option "street thefts and robberies" won the poll with 34.21% of the total votes, in a tight race with the other alternatives. The topic will be covered on Saturday (5th) by GLOBO Tijuca+Zona Norte, with a report that will provide an in-depth look at the problem and proposals for solutions.
Other issues also received significant voting among readers, including the best way to handle the homeless population, the lack of trees in the area, and poor sidewalk maintenance. These demands reflect the main concerns of residents and visitors of Méier.
