Hundreds of people gathered on Friday at Plaza de Bolívar in Bogotá for a ceremony to honor the victims of the earthquake that hit Colombia at the beginning of the month. The square was illuminated with candles in memory of those killed and missing as a result of the natural disaster.
Colombian President Abelardo de la Espriella attended the event, accompanied by First Lady Ana Lucía Pineda. Both actively participated in the ceremony, demonstrating the government's support for the families affected by the earthquake.
The event served as a moment of collective reflection for the country, bringing together Colombians from various regions who wanted to pay tribute to the thousands of victims of the earthquake. The choice of Plaza de Bolívar as the venue for the ceremony was not accidental, as it is a symbolic space in the heart of the Colombian capital.
