Benfica are preparing for the match against Estoril, in the 4th round of the League, with several reasons for fans to be especially attentive to what will happen at the Estádio da Luz. The game, scheduled for Monday, could be marked by two distinct events. João Palhinha, newly arrived at the squad, may make his official debut wearing the eagle, while Fredrik Aursnes races against time to recover from an injury.
João Palhinha is, naturally, one of the major focuses of expectation. Officially signed on Wednesday, the Portuguese international became the most prominent signing of the eagles to date and could be called up by the coach for the match against Estoril.
On the other side is Fredrik Aursnes, whose presence against Estoril is still not guaranteed. The Norwegian missed the last European fixture, against Aarhus, due to a sprain in his right ankle.
Marco Silva has already sought to reassure fans, indicating that it does not appear to be a serious injury.
