In Melgaço, the harvest took place even under rain, with participants facing the difficulties caused by bad weather. The rain entered through the raised arms used to cut the clusters and slid down the trunk to the legs, as Maria João explained.
Despite the adverse weather conditions, the activity continued with snacks, wine and fellowship among participants. The event demonstrated that, even with rain, the tradition of the harvest is maintained in Melgaço.
