Bill Gates, Microsoft's founder, published an extensive essay this week addressing the impact of Artificial Intelligence on the job market.

In the document, Gates warns that many jobs will permanently disappear due to AI, acknowledging the magnitude of the technological transformations that are taking place.

As a solution, Gates proposes a plan called "Human Reserved," which suggests that certain professions be deliberately preserved for exclusively human work.

The essay comes at a time when the discussion about the effects of automation and AI on employment continues to generate great debate globally.

The National Data Centers Plan, approved by the Government in April 2026, aims to accelerate data center investments in Portugal without setting binding national caps for water or energy consumption.
