Gonzalo Plata is leaving Flamengo to join Dínamo Moscow, in Russia. The final details of the operation were settled on Thursday night and the former Sporting player should no longer wear the Brazilian club's jersey. The 25-year-old winger is expected to arrive in Russia on Saturday, when he should undergo medical tests and sign a contract with the capital's club. Flamengo should receive approximately 12 million euros for the transfer of the Ecuadorian international.
Dínamo Moscow's interest in Gonzalo Plata arose after Dodi Lukebakio turned down an offer from the Russian club. The Benfica winger received an approach in recent days to leave the Estádio da Luz this summer transfer window. The offer presented by the Russian club included very advantageous salary conditions for Dodi Lukebakio.
Despite the values involved in the negotiation between the parties, the Belgian international decided not to accept the offer. Lukebakio's decision opened the way for Dínamo Moscow to turn their attention to Gonzalo Plata, who should thus complete the transfer to the Russian league.
