A violent head-on collision between a minibus and a truck caused the death of 27 people in Zimbabwe. The accident occurred under circumstances that are still unclear, resulting in a high number of fatalities.
Local authorities confirmed that two people were rescued alive from the wreckage. Among the survivors is the truck driver, who was taken to a hospital unit in critical condition.
Both survivors remain in critical condition, according to Zimbabwean authorities. Emergency teams continue to work at the scene of the accident to remove the bodies of the victims.
