A man was responsible for deceiving tourists with a fake amphitheatre located in the heart of Europe. The traditional stalls supposedly over two thousand years old were in reality built in the 21st century, revealing itself to be an elaborate hoax.
This scheme was part of a much bigger lie that managed to deceive several people. Tourists paid 40 euros per person to take part in this fictional experience, believing they were visiting a genuine historic site.
The case was revealed as one of the most elaborate scams involving fake historical heritage in Europe, demonstrating how the appearance of authenticity can be easily manufactured to exploit the trust of visitors.
