The United States plans to use robot dogs in immigration control operations. The acquisition of these robots and their accessories is part of a broad purchasing plan aimed at equipping ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), the American immigration and customs agency.

The equipment plan also includes a $16.7 million contract for the acquisition of 6,000 gloves capable of administering electric shocks. This investment is part of the efforts of American authorities to reinforce their operational capabilities in immigration control.
