Floods devastating Nepal have caused 633 deaths so far, according to the latest toll of the tragedy. The death toll continues to rise as rescue operations continue in the South Asian country.
Among the missing, three Portuguese citizens remain unaccounted for. In total, 2426 people have been reported missing, including more than 500 foreigners who were in Nepal during the catastrophe.
The floods were caused by heavy monsoon rains that hit the region, triggering flash floods and landslides in various areas of the country. Nepali authorities continue to coordinate rescue and search operations to find survivors among the rubble.
