Two people were shot on Thursday at a barbershop located in Terreirão, in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, in the Southwest Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The shooters, who were on a motorcycle, fled the scene immediately after the crime. The circumstances under which the shots were fired are still unknown to the police.
One of the victims is former football player Vitor Silva Honorato, 37 years old, better known as Vítor Faíska. The midfielder had stints at clubs such as América, Boavista, Sampaio Corrêa and in Latvian football in Europe.
This is the second attack in the community in a 24-hour period. On the previous Wednesday, a man was murdered with several shots on Rua Zélio Valverde, also in Terreirão, which indicates a wave of violence in the region.
