UTAD Registers the Highest Enrollment Rate in the Last Three Years

The University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD) achieved an enrollment rate of 90.2% in the first phase of the National Higher Education Access Competition, representing the best result in the last three years and consolidating its position as one of the main higher education institutions in Portugal.

Of the 1,535 filled spots, 1,384 students completed their enrollments at UTAD. The School of Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences stood out with the highest rate of 94.3%, followed by the School of Sciences and Technology with 92.8%.

The most sought-after courses were Sports Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, and Nursing. Six courses achieved a 100% enrollment rate, including Medicine and Environmental Sciences.

The results demonstrate the growing attractiveness of UTAD and the trust of students in the quality of training offered, reaffirming the institution as an academic center of reference in the development of regional and national education.

Este índice representa um aumento significativo em relação aos anos anteriores, demonstrando a crescente atratividade do seu leque de cursos e a confiança dos estudantes na qualidade da formação oferecida.

Das 1.535 vagas preenchidas, 1.384 estudantes efetivaram suas inscrições na UTAD, revelando o apelo das diversas áreas de estudo disponíveis, que incluem ciências agrárias, saúde, ciências da vida, engenharia, tecnologia, humanidades e ciências sociais. A Escola de Ciências Agrárias e Veterinárias destacou-se com a mais alta taxa de matrícula, de 94,3%, seguida de perto pela Escola de Ciências e Tecnologia com 92,8%.

Os cursos que mais atraíram estudantes nesta fase foram Ciências do Desporto, Medicina Veterinária e Enfermagem, cada um com um número expressivo de matrículas. Além disso, seis cursos conseguiram uma impressionante taxa de matrícula de 100%, incluindo Medicina e Ciências do Ambiente, evidenciando a excelência e a relevância dos cursos oferecidos.

Esses resultados refletem não apenas a forte adesão à UTAD, mas também a confiança depositada na instituição como um pilar no desenvolvimento da educação regional e nacional. A UTAD continua a se afirmar como um centro académico de referência, comprometida com a formação de profissionais qualificados e a promoção de um conhecimento que atenda às demandas do mercado e da sociedade.
