Permanent disability pensions are close to 16,000 in Castellón, despite the administrative congestion. Accessing this type of pension is not a simple path, requiring compliance with a series of medical and Social Security contribution requirements.
Social Security also does not facilitate the process, as it tends to deny many of the requests it receives. Despite this, this type of pension continues to gain weight in Castellón until it reaches a new all-time high.
Nearly 16,000 people in the province have a recognized pension because they cannot work due to an illness or injury that limits their ability to perform their usual profession or any work activity.
After the latest revaluations, the salary they receive has not stopped increasing, surpassing 1,200 euros on average.
