SECURETRACE announces 'biometrics' for products

oglobo29 August 2026 at 03:15

The global consumer goods market has gained a new dimension in how brands and people connect. SECURETRACE has just launched ORIGINAL.ID, the gateway to an identification ecosystem that transforms the physical product into the main channel of communication and trust with the end consumer, inaugurating the era of Product-to-Consumer (P2C).

The new infrastructure updates market standards and generates an exclusive "biometrics" for each manufactured unit. By applying the same uniqueness logic of human fingerprints to physical goods, ORIGINAL.ID creates unprecedented possibilities to give each item its own voice and a living history.

The novelty inaugurates an unprecedented chapter in corporate management and customer engagement, dubbed the ID Movement. According to a statement made at a board meeting, the biggest strategic mistake would be to believe that the value of a product is guaranteed as soon as it leaves the factory, since with each kilometer traveled by the product, the brand moves away from the consumer and trust is lost.

Supplier risk assessment changes the defense in technology

Attacks on technology organizations are increasingly directed at the service supply chain, making supplier assessment a central pillar of corporate risk strategies. According to Cássio Campos, cybersecurity leader, this shift has also impacted the commercial calculations of buyers, insurers, and investors. During audits at technology companies, financial services, and regulated sectors, he observed that security questionnaires, previously required only at contract closing, are now demanded in the middle of the sales cycle. Contracts have started including audit clauses, and negotiation timelines have extended without changes to the product offered. Campos highlights that "the conflict between speed and security is real in the symptom and false at the source," pointing to the need to rethink acquisition processes. The conclusions are gathered in the book "The Paradox of Technology Leadership," scheduled for release in September 2026 at the Rede Líderes headquarters in São Paulo.
