The United States plans to use robot dogs in immigration control operations. The American Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) intends to invest around two million dollars (1.7 million euros) in acquiring these technological equipment.

The robot dogs will be used in operations considered risky for agency personnel. The main objective is to protect human agents from dangerous situations during inspection and migration control missions.

The technology will allow missions to be carried out in hard-to-reach or potentially hostile environments, reducing the exposure of staff to direct threats. This approach is part of a broader trend of modernizing security forces through autonomous systems.
