The 22nd edition of the Bread, Cakes and Balls Festival takes place at Parque Nossa Senhora da Estrela, in Seixo da Beira, in the municipality of Oliveira do Hospital. The event started this Friday, August 28, and will run until Sunday, August 30, in a festival that celebrates three days of tradition.
The program includes gastronomy, entertainment, crafts and traditional making in wood-fired ovens, elements that have characterized this festival throughout its editions. At the opening ceremony of the event, the mayor of Oliveira do Hospital, José Carlos Mendes, was present at the official opening.
The Bread, Cakes and Balls Festival is organized by the Cultural, Recreational and Social Association of Seixo da Beira, with the support of the municipality of Oliveira do Hospital. This is already the 22nd edition of a festival that aims to preserve and promote local traditions, particularly the art of baking and traditional confectionery of the region.
