Roberta Medina, vice president of Rock World, the company responsible for Rock in Rio, expressed her surprise at the completion of preparations during a press visit to the City of Rock on Friday night, the 28th. The gigantic space that houses the festival, located in the West Zone of Rio, is ready to receive the 11th edition of the event, which begins on September 4.
Alongside Ana Deccache, the festival's marketing director, Roberta started the countdown for the last week before Rock in Rio. The official opening is scheduled for 2:30 PM next Friday, September 4, with the performance of Chady, a pop-rock singer who will open the proceedings on the Supernova stage.
The first night of the festival features the main act of the American band Foo Fighters. The newspaper O GLOBO also prepared a special action for the occasion, creating the interactive game "My Dream Rock in Rio," where readers can simulate being the event organizers.
