The Festival Sorrisos Nos CEUs announced a new programming with a renewed selection of activities and theatrical performances for children and youth. The event promotes Brazilian cultural manifestations and aims to encourage regular consumption of culture in its various forms. In September, the new events are scheduled to take place over four weeks, covering eight different neighborhoods in São Paulo.
The neighborhoods were strategically chosen based on the lowest educational human development indices (HDI-E). The festival occupies the Unified Educational Centers, public facilities that serve as a stage for cultural activities. This edition of the project features complete physical and communicational accessibility resources, ensuring participation for all in an inclusive manner.
The Festival Sorrisos Nos CEUs is an initiative aimed at students, their families and communities. The organizers seek to impact more than 18,000 visitors by 2026. The stated objective is that culture and education build knowledge to promote full citizenship. The programming is 100% free and available for consultation.
