The electoral schedule in Bahia began airing the first insertions of candidates for state government, Senate, and Legislative Assembly. Jerónimo Rodrigues (PT), current governor, and ACM Neto (União Brasil), former mayor of Salvador, adopted different strategies in their first TV appearances.

The PT member claimed that the party's actions, in partnership with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, changed the state and stated that, if re-elected, he intends to "continue the change." The PT campaign highlighted the word "change" in its materials.

ACM Neto bet on a more emotional tone: he remembered his grandfather, Antônio Carlos Magalhães, spoke of pride in being Bahian, and promised to transform the state government into a reference in the country, as he claims to have done leading the mayor's office of Salvador.

The PT has governed Bahia since 2007, with two consecutive terms of Jaques Wagner (2007-2014) and two of Rui Costa (2015-2022) — both Senate candidates this year — plus one term of Jerónimo Rodrigues, current governor seeking re-election.
