Order requests suspension of charges to school psychologists

SAPO Notícias28 August 2026 at 20:29

The Order of Psychologists requested the suspension of charges made to school psychologists who were integrated into the public service through PREVPAP. These professionals are receiving requests to return thousands of euros.

PREVPAP is the Extraordinary Program for the Regularization of Precarious Employment Relationships in the Public Administration, which allowed the integration of workers with precarious employment contracts into the State.

The president of the Order of Psychologists warned that precariousness cannot be corrected with insecurity, referring to the negative financial impact that these return requests have on the professionals involved.

The situation affects psychologists who work in school settings and who were integrated into the public administration under this extraordinary regularization program.
