Israel: activists protest outside EU offices in Jerusalem over the war in Gaza

About a dozen Israeli activists gathered on August 28 outside the European Union offices in East Jerusalem. The activists protested to demand that the EU adopt a firmer position regarding the war in Gaza. The protest took place outside the European diplomatic mission's facilities in the city. The participants wanted to draw attention to the ongoing conflict and pressure the European Union to intervene more decisively.

The Minister of Economy and Territorial Cohesion, Manuel Castro Almeida, stated on TVI's National Journal that the Government did not raise taxes in the two budgets presented and that it will not do so this time either. The official also spoke about the execution of the Recovery and Resilience Plan and clarified the fate of the works that had to leave the scope of the project.
