The municipality of Bragança has unveiled plans to revitalize the city's medieval citadel, transforming it into a living and dynamic hub. The project includes a set of interventions aimed at reducing traffic in the historic area, implementing a craft market, creating a tourist train, and rehabilitating six houses within the citadel.
The transformation process begins on September 11th, the date from which the various measures planned by the municipality will be carried out. The goal is to attract more visitors and residents to the historic area, giving it new vitality.
With these initiatives, Bragança aims to recover the historic and cultural potential of its medieval citadel, which for years has faced challenges of depopulation and degradation of the built heritage. The local authority believes that the combination of physical interventions and cultural activities can bring life back to this iconic space in the city.
