The Russian Defense Ministry published images on Friday of a training launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile. The images were released as part of a routine military exercise.
According to information from Moscow, the missile's training warheads hit the designated area on the Kamchatka Peninsula, in Russia's far east. The test proceeded without any reported complications.
The release of the images comes at a time when relations between Russia and various Western countries remain tense, although the Defense Ministry classified the launch as normal training activity.
