At least 580 people have died in a deadly flood that hit Nepal and Tibet, in the Himalayan region. Authorities confirmed nearly 2,000 missing in Nepal alone, while in China more than 550 fatalities were recorded. The tragedy was caused by heavy monsoon rains that triggered flooding and landslides in several mountainous areas. Rescue operations are ongoing, with teams trying to locate survivors among the rubble and flooded areas.
