Forced contraception scandal in Greenland: Denmark pays 40,000 euros to each victim

Denmark will compensate women and girls from Greenland who were subjected to a contraception campaign with intrauterine devices (IUD), in many cases without consent.

Each victim will receive 40,000 euros as compensation for the damages suffered.

The forced IUD placement campaign took place in Greenland, an autonomous territory of Denmark, and affected an unspecified number of women and girls.
