The Russian Ministry of Defence announced the successful launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile. According to the official statement, the test "went perfectly".
The missile was launched from the Plesetsk cosmodrome, located in the Arkhangelsk region, approximately 800 kilometres north of Moscow. It was a solid-fuel mobile platform missile.
The projectile landed at the designated site in Kura, on the Kamchatka Peninsula, in the far east of Russia, at a distance of approximately 6,700 kilometres from the launch point.
