Lisotel recovers from Kristin after 1.2 million euros in losses

The Kristin storm hit Portugal in January 2026, causing 1.2 million euros in losses at Lisotel – Hotel & Spa, located in Leiria. The hotel was severely affected by the storm, which caused significant damage to its facilities.

Despite the damage caused, Lisotel managed to remain partially operational during the recovery period. The hotel unit recovered the rooms that had been affected by the storm, managing to restore a significant part of its services.

The recovery effort proved successful, as the hotel entered the summer with a high occupancy rate. This result allowed the unit to recover part of the financial losses caused by the storm.

Currently, the reconstruction of Lisotel's restaurant is still underway, representing the final phase of the hotel's complete recovery process after the effects of the Kristin storm.
