The Spanish village of Torrejoncillo del Rey, located in the province of Cuenca, is offering homes at very affordable prices, starting from 18 thousand euros, with three bedrooms each. The main objective of this initiative is to boost the local economy and attract new residents to the region.
With only 345 inhabitants, this small locality faces the challenge of rural depopulation, a common problem in many inland areas of Spain. The town council believes that selling properties at low prices could be a solution to stop the loss of population and revitalize the community.
The local authority has also identified various opportunities for entrepreneurs in different sectors, suggesting that new residents can find market niches to develop local businesses. This strategy combines affordable housing with prospects for employment and economic activity in the region.
