European Union: what are the busiest airports for commercial flights

In 2025, the European Union recorded more than 6.9 million commercial flights, reflecting the significant demand for air transport in the region.

The airports that led air traffic in the EU were Amsterdam Schiphol, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Frankfurt, occupying the top positions in terms of arrivals and departures of commercial flights.

These three international airports stand out as the main European hubs for air connectivity, moving a considerable volume of passengers and operations throughout the year.
