Fake news: Pneumo 23 vaccine not released for adults over 58 years old, FMS warns

The Municipal Health Foundation (FMS) issued an alert about fake news related to the Pneumo 23 vaccine. The misinformation was circulating on social media indicating that the vaccine would be released for adults over 58 years old, which does not correspond to the truth.

The Pneumo 23 vaccine is indicated only for elderly people over 60 years old, however with restrictions. The FMS clarified that the application of the immunizer for this age group is not released without restrictions.

The foundation's alert aims to combat the spread of incorrect information about the vaccination calendar and ensure that the population seeks official sources of information about vaccination campaigns.
