Piauí teachers may have bonuses exempt from Income Tax; understand the proposal

Teachers in Piauí may have their bonuses exempt from Income Tax. The proposed measure covers both basic education teachers and higher education professionals.

The initiative aims to benefit teachers with tax relief, allowing bonuses received to not be taxed. This can represent a real gain in educators' salaries.

The state of Piauí seeks, through this proposal, to value the teaching category and recognize the importance of education professionals. The measure still needs to be approved by the competent bodies to take effect.
