Congressional committee approves MP that released loan for car purchase by app drivers and taxi drivers

The provisional measure that regulates a R$ 30 billion credit line for purchasing cars by app drivers and taxi drivers was approved by the joint congressional committee. The initiative is part of an electoral package by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, a candidate for re-election, and was edited as a gesture to financially help the category.

The MP still needs to go through votes in the plenary sessions of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate to have permanent validity. Its validity only expires in October, but the forecast is that Congress will be empty in the coming weeks due to elections. Next week should be the last voting period before the first round, which will take place on October 4.

The approval of the MP in the joint committee happened outside the concentrated effort week and after movements of approach between President Lula and the presidents of the Senate, Davi Alcolumbre, and the Chamber, Hugo Motta.
