Economic confidence maintained its upward trend in August in the euro area and the European Union, according to data released by the Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs of the EU executive.
The economic confidence indicator is almost reaching the long-term average of 100 points, which represents a positive signal for the European economy.
