Jornal Económico28 August 2026 at 14:39

The Portuguese Association of Leasing, Factoring and Renting (ALF) announced that it will receive on September 4, in Lisbon, a delegation from the China Automobile Dealers Association (CADA) to discuss mobility and specialized financing markets and analyze potential investment opportunities. The meeting, co-organized with CADA and with the support of the law firm Morais Leitão, brings together representatives from technology, financial and automotive companies.

Among the confirmed participants from the Chinese delegation are entities such as BYD Fudi Leasing, XPeng Leasing, Ant Group, Ping An Bank, Minsheng Financial Leasing, CMB Financial Leasing, Dongfeng Motor Finance, BAIC Group, Bank of Shanghai and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank. The initiative takes place just days before World Electric Vehicle Day, celebrated on September 9, framed within China's growing prominence in electric vehicle production and mobility technologies.

ALF's president, Luís Augusto, highlighted that mobility transformation is bringing together sectors that were traditionally analyzed separately, noting that hosting this delegation with such significant economic weight constitutes an opportunity to share knowledge, better understand the evolution of two markets, and identify areas of cooperation.

The event program includes presentations on Portugal's economic and legal framework, the evolution of the national specialized financing market, the Chinese market perspective from CADA's секретарь-Жераль, Wei Zhou, and public incentives for international expansion to Europe through Portugal presented by COMPETE 2030's president, Alexandra Vilela. ALF, founded 42 years ago, currently has 25 members among the main institutions operating in Portugal in the financial leasing, factoring and renting segments.
