Foreign direct investment in Portugal reached 6.7 billion euros in the first half, according to data released by the Bank of Portugal. This value represents a significant milestone in the country's attraction of international capital.
Of the total invested, 1.7 billion euros were directed to the real estate sector. This substantial portion of foreign investment reflects the continued interest of international investors in the Portuguese real estate market.
The Bank of Portugal, as the country's monetary and financial authority, is the institution responsible for compiling and publishing these statistical data on foreign investment flows.
