Susana Moreira Marques (part 1): "My generation has the nostalgia of not having lived the great struggles. But how did we let certain setbacks happen?"

Susana Moreira Marques is a former journalist who currently dedicates herself to writing literary nonfiction. In her podcast conversation with Bernardo Mendonça, she spoke about how her work process is still very connected to her journalistic past. The author states she feels interested in writing about everyday stories of ordinary people, rather than great deeds, a territory she believes still has much to explore.

Among her books, "Now and at the Hour of Our Death," "Black Scarves, Straw Hats and Gold Earrings," and the most recent "Third Floor Without Elevator" stand out. In the podcast, Susana Moreira Marques expressed a reflection on her generation, saying she has "the nostalgia of not having lived the great struggles" and questioning "how did we let certain setbacks happen?"

Currently, the author is writing a fiction script for a TV movie dedicated to the theme of end of life. This production will be part of the new RTP series titled "Told by Women."
