The Provincial Government of Castellón is carrying out the Summer Cinema program, a cultural initiative that brings outdoor cinema screenings to 52 municipalities in the region with fewer than 300 inhabitants. The initiative takes place every summer and transforms squares, parks, and public spaces in these small towns into outdoor cinema rooms.
The program aims to enrich the cultural offerings of these smaller municipalities, which normally have fewer resources and cultural activities compared to urban areas. In this way, the Provincial Government intends to revitalize the social and cultural life of these communities.
The initiative covers a total of 52 small towns, bringing cinema access to areas that would otherwise have limited access to this type of cultural entertainment. The public spaces are adapted to host the screenings, creating moments of socializing for local residents.
