Rockstar Games finally presented to players, after more than 18 months without an extensive preview, a 26-minute video showing details of GTA 6, one of the most anticipated games in history. The game's release is scheduled for less than three months. The extended version was initially shown by Netflix and arrived on YouTube six hours later, without narration or explanatory texts, betting on the images themselves to show the graphic evolution and the size of the world created by the developer.
The video presented pursuits, shootouts, map exploration, and new details about Lucia and Jason, the two protagonists of the game. The release happened after a week marked by unauthorized gameplay video leaks. The developer classified it as "heartbreaking" to see images of the project circulating before the official presentation.
In parallel, the GTA VI distributor obtained Microsoft and Discord data in U.S. Court to investigate the game's leaks. The information was obtained to identify the origin of the materials that were improperly circulated before the official announcement.
